FOS is an independent dispute resolution service for financial services providers (FSPs) and their customers.
Do you have a problem with your financial services provider?
If you have a problem with a financial product or service, the first thing you should do is raise the matter with your financial services provider (FSP).
You can use the search below to find out who you should take your complaint to at your FSP.
What to do if your financial services provider is not listed with FOS
If your FSP is not listed this may be because your FSP is not a member of FOS.
Who to contact if your financial services provider is not a member of FOS
We cannot help you with disputes about FSPs who are not members of FOS.
You will need to contact the Credit Ombudsman Service Limited to see if your FSP is a member of COSL: www.cosl.com.au
Who to contact if your financial services provider is an authorised credit representative
Some of our members are authorised credit representatives (ACRs) of another organisation.
Complaints about ACRs need to be sent to the licensee of the representative.
A listing of an ACR will show who the licensee is, or who the ACR is an authorised credit representative for.
If the ACR is not a member of FOS you can find out who the licensee (also called the “registered person”) is on ASIC’s website at: http://www.search.asic.gov.au/credit/har.html
If you are an ACR who needs to confirm your membership, please contact membership on membership@fos.org.au.
