Our submission to this inquiry — by the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Corporations and Financial Services — focuses on the adequacy of professional indemnity insurance, the opportunity for stricter licensing of authorised representatives, the difficulties around the definition of financial product, and the ease with which a salesperson could inadvertently move from giving general to personal advice.
