FOS Terms of Reference - E Learning Sessions

FOS processes are designed for efficiency and effectiveness in resolving disputes using a fair and independent approach.  In order to promote a clear understanding of these processes, FOS has developed three on-line learning sessions which take you through some of the key aspects of the Terms of Reference (TOR) and Operational Guidelines (OGs) as they apply to our new dispute resolution process.

OVERVIEW

Session 1 Quick overview of FOS 20 mins

Session 2 Registration and Acceptance 30 mins

Session 3 Case Management and Outcomes 30 mins

The sessions are designed to provide information and examples for those involved in dispute resolution and anyone who is interested in understanding how the process, the Terms of Reference (TOR), and the Operational Guidelines (OGs) work in practice.

These sessions have been designed for maximum flexibility of use - users can work through all of the sessions or dip in and out to refresh their memory about a particular aspect of the FOS approach.

There is no limit on how often anyone uses the sessions and there is no charge.

We encourage you to share the eLearning sessions with those within your network who may be interested.  Simply provide the link to the sessions.

If you have any difficulty logging on, please refer to the support information below.

Minimum Technical Specifications for running the E Learning sessions:

  • Mac OS, Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7
  • Compatible Web  Browsers:
    • FireFox 3.0 or higher
    • Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher

  • Cookies are recommended so that in case content is closed or connection is lost prematurely the system can resume that training material at the last point the user was on.

If you have any difficulty running the sessions it could be due to internet filtering carried out by your organisation. Please consult with your IT department if you are unsure if internet filtering is in place. If they do have internet filtering in place, please refer them to the information on internet filtering below.

If you are still experiencing difficulties, please email Marcus Bennett, Online Coordinator:
mbennett@fos.org.au

Internet Filtering

If you have internet filtering in place in your organisation you will need to clear the following URLs for access. The first URL is the location of the learning sessions on the internet.  The remaining URLs are simply references within the code that are a necessary part of the e Learning compliance scheme the software adheres to (SCORM). The software does not link to these URLs but some internet filtering systems may stop access to the learning session because of their presence within the code.
