When FSPs must stop enforcement action

Limits on a Financial Services Provider’s ability to take enforcement action or any further steps in current legal proceedings where an Applicant has lodged a dispute with FOS

This letter is for the use of consumers who have lodged a dispute with FOS when legal proceedings relating to the dispute have also been issued in a court. The letter can be handed to the court to explain a financial services provider’s obligation to cease enforcement action or pursue legal proceedings after the date the dispute has been lodged.
