The Board of Directors is delighted to announce the appointment of Ms Johanna Turner as an Industry Director.

At the Board meeting on 17 November 2016, the Board of Directors resolved to appoint Ms Turner as an Industry Director of FOS, filling the vacancy created by the resignation of Mr Chris McRae in June 2016.

Over an extensive career in financial services, Ms Turner held senior management roles for both Citigroup Pty Ltd and Citibank N.A as the Chief Compliance Officer (Australia and New Zealand) and more recently as Chief Risk Officer (Australia). Prior to this, Ms Turner held senior roles with Macquarie Group Limited and the Australian Stock Exchange. Ms Turner has also established her own legal practice, through which she provided legal advice to the financial services sector for several years, and was a Senior Lawyer at the Policy and International Branch of ASIC between 1991 and 1994, and with the Regulatory Policy Branch between 1994 and 1996.

She is now an Independent Compliance Committee Member for both Blackrock Investment Management (Australia) and Fundhost, as well as being a member of the NSW Council for Women’s Economic Opportunity.
